• APRS-Ready Dual-Band Mobile Transceiver: This 144/440 MHz FM dual-band mobile transceiver is a step up from the average FM mobile, offering advanced features for amateur radio enthusiasts.

• Built-In GPS & APRS Capability: The GPS unit required for mobile APRS operation is included in the control head, enabling APRS operation without additional equipment. Features include GPS Logger, Mark Waypoint, Target Point, and automatic time correction functions.

• Integrated Terminal Node Controller (TNC): Equipped with an AX.25 standard TNC, enabling stand-alone APRS operation. Connection to a PC also enables 1200/9600 bps packet communication and IGate terminal operation.

• Easy EchoLink Node Setup: Simply connect to a PC with EchoLink software installed (requires optional PG-5H PC interface cable kit) to set up an EchoLink node terminal. Simultaneous operation as an IGate terminal and/or digipeater is possible while functioning as an EchoLink node terminal.

• APRS Program Compatible: A program compatible with the APRS system has been developed in cooperation with the developer of APRS. By using this program and the GPS unit, various APRS operations are possible even without a PC. Messages can also be exchanged to share positional, direction/distance, and weather information.

• Remote Control of HF Transceivers: The TM-D710GA may be used for remote control of HF transceivers, enabling enjoyment of HF access even while making a quick trip. The HF band frequency is displayed for easy operation.

• Large Separate Panel with LCD Display: The large separate panel features a liquid crystal display with individual key access, enabling prompt access to a variety of functions. Two different mounts are included for in-vehicle (panel-angle) and table-top (base-stand) installation.

• Selectable LCD Backlight: The LCD backlight color may be selected as either amber or green for personalized visibility.

• NOAA Weather Band with Warning Tone: The device can emit a warning tone when warnings are announced on the NOAA Weather Band. Registered weather channels can also be scanned.
